Coach Connect

Welcome to the Coach Connect Program!

The Coach Connect program is a unique opportunity to bring together what our members love to dowith pro bono coaching opportunitiesin support of causes that our members are passionate about. It makes coaching both accessible and available to organizations and the communities they serve.

As Director of the Community Outreach Committee, I am thrilled that you are visiting here to find out more about this program. To learn more about the program, the ways you or community organizations can be involved, please review the Coach Connect Program Overview.

This program was born out of an idea for an ICW event to honour and mark the 20 years of ICF's global celebration of International Coaching Week (ICW). It has since evolved into a permanent community outreach initiative grounded in the following objectives:

  • To actively engage our chapter members
  • For community organizations that serve the greater good to experience first hand the benefits and impacts of coaching
  • To make professional coaching as defined by the ICF available and accessible to community organizations
  • To sustain the impact of the ICW throughout the year and beyond

The Coach Connect Program Continues to Expand

New Partner Organizations Joining Coach Connect September 2018

The Coach Connect program continues to grow and expand, providing more opportunities to our ICF Toronto chapter members to participate. We want to thank all members who have participated in the Coach Connect program and provided pro-bono coaching to staff and the populations these organizations serve. As a result of your generosity and commitment, we are able to continue to expand our reach. Check out the testimonials from some of our Lead and Volunteer Coaches that have participated in the Coach Connect program.

In September 2018, we will be launching partnerships with 2 new Partner Organizations including 360ºkids and The Canadian Women's Chamber of Commerce.

  • 360ºkids - target launch date late September
  • Canadian Women's Chamber of Commerce - target launch date late September

We are also expanding our partnership with 3 existing Partner Organizations including Bethell Hospice, Ernestine's Women's Shelter and Tropicana Community Services.

  • Bethell Hospice - target launch date late September
  • Ernestine's Women's Shelter - target launch date late September
  • Tropicana Community Services - Youth Job Connection Program - target launch date late September

To meet these launch timelines of late September, we will need about 35 to 45 Volunteer Coaches. Please note launch timelines are contingent on sufficient number of coaches signing up to participate. Claim your spot as a Volunteer Coach by Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Approximate time commitment will be 2 hours of coaching a month, for a minimum of 3 months (in addition to a 1-hour orientation session and a half-day kick-off with coaches and coachees). Each organization will individually determine the maximum length of the coaching period. More details will be discussed in the introductory call.

If you are new to the Coach Connect program and are interested in participating as a Volunteer Coach, please complete the Coach Interest Form online. If you have already participated in the Coach Connect program, please send an email to and be sure to indicate which of the Partner Organization(s) you would be interested in working with.

Please refrain from contacting established Coach Connect Partner Organizations directly to express your interest to be a Volunteer Coach.
