2018/2019 Board Candidates Up for Election

Up for Re-Election to 2018-2019 Board

Julian Humphreys,

I'm passionate about coaching individuals and teams toward greater leadership effectiveness, by:
• Increasing awareness, particularly around personal strengths and values
• Building alignment with the organization’s mission and purpose
• Developing strategic and innovative thinking
• Fostering authentic communication
• Supporting creative collaboration

I was a consultant in the technology, marketing and communications fields for 20 years before becoming a coach. For the past 5 years I've coached senior leaders in a range of industries, including academia, law, medical, technology, marketing, communications, and the public service.

I earned my PhD from the University of Toronto in 2010 and have presented at international conferences, including at UNESCO and Harvard. I currently teach ‘Creativity and Collaboration’ in the Faculty of Communication and Design at Ryerson University and am the founder and editor-in-chief of an academic journal called Philosophy of Coaching.

She coaches them through the process of moving through a transition. She works with her clients to realize that within their angst lies opportunities. An opportunity to assess the direction that the client's life is taking and an opportunity for their own personal growth, learning, exploration and to partner with them to co-create what their ideal life would be, the life that they truly want and desire.

Meena holds an Honors BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from York University. Her current involvement in the ICF Toronto Chapter and her interest in serving on the Board, demonstrates the importance she puts on community involvement and giving back to the coaching community at large.
